test vs exam

There is a nuanced meaning, although technically a test is a more common form of measuring mastery on a subject and an exam is the final, oftentimes cumulative tool to measure mastery. The terms are used interchangeably by many, although exams usually count for a greater percentage of an overall grade.

picnic vs journeyvs trip


Journey descri travelling from one place to another over a considerable distance. .

Trip is often travelling to a place and coming back the same day and so it is not usually long. You are staying in a hotel on holiday and the travel company representative will organise trips to places of interest and you will come back to the hotel that day for your evening meal.

Picnic is a meal eaten outdoors, as on an excursion

trouble vs problem


When 'problem' is used it refers to a situation that will eventually require or come to a conclusion. It is more appropriately used to refer to physical or tangible deficiencies/faults

'Trouble' usually refers to situations that are more emotional/spiritual/psychological in nature; intangible deficiencies.
